Tara assists with all types of residential property disputes, including possession proceedings, service charge disputes, restrictive covenants, rights of way issues and boundary disputes. Tara also assists with commercial property disputes, including dilapidations, forfeiture, lease renewals under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954 and rent reviews. Tara also has a keen interest in the developments of the Building Safety Act 2022 (“BSA”) in the legal/property world and advises both landlords and leaseholders as to their rights and obligations under the BSA, including landlord/leaseholder certificates, high-risk buildings and cladding matters.
Tara prides herself on being proactive and keeping clients in the loop at all stages of a matter. Her breadth of knowledge and expertise across numerous areas of law, both contentious and non-contentious, means Tara can look at the broader picture when advising clients on a commercial and practical level.
Tara completed her training contract at Lester Aldridge in March 2023, having undertaken seats in Corporate and Insolvency, Real Estate Development and Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence. Before this, Tara worked in the Dispute Resolution team at Lester Aldridge, assisting with SRA interventions and commercial disputes. Tara also has expertise on the transactional side of property, having previously worked on commercial and residential property sales and purchases.
